What steps has the Welsh Government taken independently of the Marine Management Organisation to test whether the Succorfish SC2 devices should have been Type Approved?

Following an extensive procurement exercise, the Welsh Government awarded a contract to Applied Satellite Technology Limited (AST) to supply inshore Vessel Monitoring System (iVMS) devices to the Welsh under 12m fishing fleet. A Type Approval process was not used in Wales.
