Question
How is the Minister encouraging young people to take up farming as a career path to ensure that farmers have enough seasonal workers?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The Welsh Government continues to provide support and encouragement for young entrants and those who want to enter the agricultural industry through programmes such as Farming Connect and Start to Farm (formally known as Venture).
Our schemes support farmers to enhance the technical, financial and environmental performance of their businesses, enabling the sector to maintain thriving rural businesses which are attractive employers.
