Question
Will the Minister confirm whether planning permission for housing projects within the new national park will be subject to the same rules as currently apply within its proposed boundaries?

Decisions on the governance and powers of the new national park are some way off and it is premature to make any announcement on its possible planning functions. In general, whilst national parks are tasked with the conservation of the environment, they are also required to plan effectively for the communities who live there. National parks are required to follow Planning Policy Wales and Future Wales when discharging their planning functions.
