Question
How many Welsh Government-funded devices issued to Ministers and Deputy Ministers had apps installed that enabled the deletion of messages from March 2020 to May 2021?

WhatsApp is not permitted for use on Welsh Government managed devices and individuals are not able to install applications that are not centrally provided. No specific message deletion application is loaded to Welsh Government managed devices and they are not backed up.
Individuals are responsible for identifying information that reflects and records official Welsh Government business and ensuring that it is saved as a record in the corporate repository. The Welsh Government’s approach to managing information is in accordance with information legislation and is set out in the Information Management and Governance Policy.
