Question
What assessment has the Minister made of whether there are enough qualified people to write and develop individual development plans for pupils?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language
It is for local authorities and individual schools to decide on the procedures they adopt for meeting their legal responsibilities and for ensuring the needs of all pupils are met, including those with additional learning needs (ALN).
Information regarding requirements on the preparation, content, form, review and revision of individual development plans (IDPs), and information regarding the role of the ALNCo, are contained in the ALN Code for Wales.
