Question
Will the Minister provide an update on what support is available for small music venues?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism
Since its launch in 2020, Creative Wales has invested just under £9m in music venues, recording studios, rehearsal spaces and suppliers. I will very soon be announcing another round of significant funding for grass roots venues, and they are currently being informed of their awards. My officials liaise with grass roots venues all over Wales regularly and are aware of any that are facing difficulty.
We also funded a bespoke skills project run by the Music Venue Trust for Welsh grassroots venues to provide them with the tools for success.
