Question
What assessment has the Minister made of the economic impact on Wales of forthcoming closures to London Paddington, when there will be no train services in or out of London Paddington on Sunday 26 November, Sunday 24 and Wednesday 27 December?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
The Welsh Government has not undertaken a specific impact assessment of railway upgrade work at Old Oak Common on these dates.
We are working to assess the wider economic impact of increased journey times between South Wales and London from services calling at Old Oak Common once the station is open, including disruption to services during the construction period.
