Question
What is the Minister doing to support young farmers in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The Welsh Government continues to provide support for young farmers through programmes such as Farming Connect and Start to Farm (formally known as Venture). All eligible farmers are also able to apply for any agricultural support schemes, as they become available. In the future, the proposed Sustainable Farming Scheme will be available to all types of farms and will support young farmers to develop in the industry and establish sustainable businesses.
