What changes have been made to the exemption conditions that allow local authorities to revert 20mph speed limits back to 30mph?

Answered by Minister for Climate Change
No changes have been made to the exceptions criteria or accompanying guidance following the change to the default speed limit on local roads. This is in line with feedback from local highway authorities, as set out in the Written Statement published on 25 October.
