Question
What is the Government doing to address the issue of rural poverty in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
We continue to do all we can with the levers we have in Wales to support people experiencing poverty, by providing targeted help to those who need it the most.
However, the UK Government has responsibility for the main tax and welfare levers, which make the biggest difference. We continue to press UK Government to increase its support for all households to alleviate poverty in all its forms.
