Question
What measures is the Welsh Government taking to help ensure that Welsh rugby regions remain financially stable in the long run?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism
The Welsh Government provides financial assistance to several sports governing bodies, through Sport Wales, for the development of grassroots sports. In exceptional circumstances the Welsh Government provided a Spectator Sports Fund during COVID, but otherwise we do not provide financial support to any professional sports clubs.
