Question
How many children in Wales are waiting to be assessed for ADHD?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Social Services
This information is not routinely collected by the Welsh Government.
We are working hard to reduce waiting times for children waiting for neurodevelopmental assessments, which include autism and ADHD and to ensure support is provided to meet needs before an assessment is made.
I made oral statements detailing the Neurodivergence Improvement Programme and the activity being undertaken to improve services and reduce waiting times on 2 May and 14 November 2023: https://record.senedd.wales/Plenary/13340#A79387
