What is the average administration cost to the NHS of dispensing each prescription item in a primary care or community pharmacy setting?

In 2022-23, the total of payments made to community pharmacies and dispensing doctors in dispensing fees was £88,890,235 and the total items dispensed were 84,408,813 giving rise to an average dispensing cost of £1.05 per item dispensed.
