Question
How much would it cost the Welsh Government this year to meet the additional 1 per cent pay rise recommended for junior doctors by the NHS Pay Review Body?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services
The recommendations from Doctors and Dentists Pay Review Body for 2023/24 for junior doctors were 6% plus a consolidated payment of £1250 to all pay points. The additional funding required for the 1% and the £1250 payment would be in the region of £11.5m recurring.
