Question
What plans does the Minister have to improve rail links between west and south Wales?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
We have invested £800million in brand new rolling stock with new trains now running between West Wales to South Wales. Rail infrastructure in Wales is not devolved, and remains the responsibility of the UK Government to fund and deliver. We continue to press UK Government for the complete electrification of the South Wales Main Line to facilitate improved journey times and decarbonisation.
