Question
How does the Welsh Government rural proof its policies, and what evaluations has it undertaken of the effectiveness of rural proofing?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
A rural proofing impact assessment forms a part of the Welsh Government’s Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA). All policies should be assessed for impact using this tool. No specific evaluation of the rural proofing impact assessment has been undertaken but there is work being undertaken to review and update the IIA as a whole.
