Question
What discussions has the Welsh Government had with police across Wales regarding recent figures that show shoplifting in Wales is at its highest level in more than 20 years?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Social Justice and Chief Whip
While policing is currently a reserved matter I work closely with our Police and Crime Commissioners and our Police Forces to address community safety and crime reduction in Wales. Details of ministerial meetings are published regularly on the Welsh Government website via the link below: https://www.gov.wales/ministerial-meetings-and-engagements
