What consideration has the Minister given to introducing compulsory microchipping for pet cats in Wales?

Our Animal Welfare Plan makes a commitment to consider extending compulsory microchipping to include cats by 2026.
Cat microchipping is already available for all cats. Whilst not compulsory, it is good practice for all responsible owners to get their cats microchipped
