Question
Has the Welsh Government made an assessment of the health implications of less-regular bin collection for communities?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
It is a matter for each local authority to assess the health implications of any decision to alter the frequency of waste collection. In assessing health implications, a local authority should take into account the separate weekly collection of food waste, which has been rolled out across Wales, and the provision of any separate collection of absorbent hygiene products.
