What discussions is the Minister having with Transport for Wales about how they can further support pupils who use their trains to get to school?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
In addition to the Learner Travel (Wales) Measure duties on local authorities, Transport for Wales have several ticketing initiatives available for pupils. For students aged 11-18, the scholar ticket is discounted up to 75% off the cost of a full-priced adult fare, with under 11s can travel for free on Transport for Wales services at any time.
