Question
What discussions is the Welsh Government having with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board regarding Grange Hospital having released the wrong body to a family on two occasions since December?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board reported the incidents to the Welsh Government and the Human Tissue Authority once identified and has undertaken an investigation into its causes to prevent re-occurrence. The incorrect body releases happened in the same week in November 2023 and the health board has taken steps to address this issue and prevent future incidents.
