Question
How many people in Arfon a) have registered with an NHS dentist, b) have registered with a private dentist, and c) have not registered with a dentist at all?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
Welsh Government does not hold this information. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is responsible for providing dental services to its local population, as such these questions should be addressed to them.
I have asked Digital Health Care Wales to develop a dental access portal that will enable anyone seeking access to routine care to register their details. Once implemented later this year this will provide Government and health boards with a clear indication of additional services and workforce required to meet local needs.
