Question
What plans does the Welsh Government have to replicate Wave Energy Scotland in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Welsh Language
The Welsh Government supports Marine Energy Wales the industry led stakeholder group representing the wave, tidal and floating offshore wind industries in Wales, and the Marine Energy Test Area (META), which is an operational stepping stone test centre set up to support early-stage innovation, design and testing of wave energy. The META facility has a number of berths across many sites specifically for wave energy device testing in a range of conditions.
