What is the annual cost to the Welsh Government of children attending a pupil referral unit?

The Welsh Government does not collect data about the cost of pupils attending pupil referral units (PRUs). We provide funding to local authorities for education other than at school (EOTAS) as part of their wider funding for education provision. It is for local authorities to allocate the funding to PRUs and other EOTAS provision depending on the needs and priorities in their area.
