Question
What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the Scottish Government declaring a national housing emergency, and the implications this will have on access to housing in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning
Access to housing in Scotland is a matter for the Scottish Government.
In Wales, we remain committed to the Ending Homelessness High level Action Plan (2021-2026) which confirms the importance of partnership working in making homelessness rare, brief and unrepeated.
This work is underpinned through investment of almost £220m in this year alone in homelessness and housing support services. We have also invested record levels of funding to support the delivery of additional social sector homes in Wales.
