Question
What percentage of Welsh university graduates leave Wales during the first 3 years after their graduation to work in England?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Education
HESA's Graduate Outcomes survey provides information on the career paths and opportunities taken by graduates who completed a higher education course in the UK, 15 months after they finish their studies. Of the Welsh domiciled graduates working in the UK who responded to the 2021/22 survey, 72% were working in Wales and 27% were working in England. This data is available on the Graduate Outcomes summary statistics page published on the HESA website.
