Question
How much money has been provided by the Welsh Government to support grassroots music venues in the year 2022-2023?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Social Partnership
During 2022 and 2023 Creative Wales provided £1.7m of direct funding into grassroots music venues across Wales with an additional fund opened for applications in late 2023 on top of this. In addition, various other schemes provide indirect support to venues such as sponsoring events held in grassroots music venues including Focus Wales, Swn and Independent Venue Week.
