Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary outline how many privately owned high-rise buildings in Wales are yet to complete the necessary safety remediation work?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning
There are currently 238 private tenure buildings in our remediation programme. To date, 181 of these buildings have either had works completed; work is underway on site or plans are in development, subject to surveys and the appointment of a contractor. Seven buildings do not require fire safety works.
We are working with the remaining 53 buildings to identify any remediation needs.
These figures are subject to change as further buildings are identified, and more information is gathered.
