Question
What support has the Welsh Government provided to religious buildings in Pembrokeshire since May 2021?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Culture, Skills and Social Partnership
Capital grant programmes run by Cadw provide financial support for conservation and repair of historic buildings and are open to places of worship where there is demonstrable community benefit. Since May 2021 funding of over £321,340 has been granted to religious buildings in Pembrokeshire.
In addition, during the Covid pandemic, Welsh Government provided support to many religious buildings through the Cultural Recovery Fund including a grant of £150,000 to the Dean & Chapter of St Davids Cathedral in 2021-22.
