Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on works to replace the defective safety barriers on the A40 between Raglan and Abergavenny?

The temporary 50mph speed limit on the A40 between Raglan and Abergavenny has been implemented due to the deteriorated condition of the road restraint system at several locations.
The design for replacement of the A40 barriers is included in this financial year (24/25). The scheme remains a priority for construction within our Capital Safety Fence programme and will be advanced as soon as funding permits.
