Question
Why have projects such as Project Seagrass not been allocated a specific budget, considering that they are part of the Welsh Government's programme for government?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
Since 2021, Welsh Government has provided £298,000 of funding to Project Seagrass through the Nature Networks Programme and the Coastal Capacity Building scheme.
A competitive process provides a transparent, fair and equitable way to allocate government funding which enables a diverse range of organisations to access it.
