What assessment has the Government made of the safety of small modular reactors, in light of the announcement of plans to build four micro reactors in the Llynfi Valley?

Nuclear safety is an issue for the Office for Nuclear Regulation, the UK’s independent nuclear regulator for safety, security and safeguards, which works in conjunction with the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales. We understand that these bodies have been engaged by Last Energy for the specific site proposed in the Llynfi Valley
