Question
How is the Welsh Government ensuring that findings and recommendations from Healthcare Inspectorate Wales are sufficiently followed by health boards?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
As part of the monthly integrated quality, planning, and delivery meetings my officials have with health boards, a regular agenda item is for the health board to provide an update against any outstanding Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) recommendations or actions.
HIW also receive regular updates from health boards and bring this knowledge to the tripartite meetings as part of the oversight and escalation process.
