Question
What systems are in place to monitor the braking system on all rolling stock currently in use following the Rail Accident Investigation Branch update on 5 November 2024 of the train collision near Talerddig in Powys that sand hoses were blocked on one of the trains?

Safety is always the main priority for Transport for Wales and Network Rail. They have carried out enhanced checks to both the trains and the railway to enable the reopening of the Cambrian line. It is important that we allow the professional independent investigation by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch to continue their vital work into the causes of this incident without speculation.
