Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm what steps they are taking to ensure that passengers are unable to intimidate other passengers when using public transport?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
All Transport for Wales onboard and platform rail staff members receive conflict management training. This is supported by CCTV onboard trains and buses, including on the TrawsCymru network. Body-worn cameras are provided for frontline rail staff. Transport for Wales, local authorities and bus operators work closely with the British Transport Police and their local Police Services to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
