Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide additional financial support for the bus industry, considering the report 'The economic impact of local bus services' commissioned by the Confederation of Passenger Transport highlighting every £1 invested in buses delivers £4.55 of economic benefits?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
I fully recognise the importance of bus services to our communities and economy and am committed to the continuation of funding support. The Welsh Government budget for 2025/26 is in the process of being finalised. Until this process has concluded I cannot make a firm commitment on the exact funding provision available.
