Health boards can offer choice within their geographical boundaries and for outsourced provision.
The concept of choice is much wider than where you receive your care. Our prudent care principles recognises the key role of choice in the patient pathway. People are considered equal partners in decision making about their treatment and are encouraged to take informed decisions along the pathway.
