Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
The average waiting time for a cardiology appointment at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, as summarised on the NHS 111 planned care pages is 20 weeks: NHS 111 Wales - Cardiology - Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board
Through the National Cardiac Network, the management of referrals and outpatient redesign is being reviewed to provide a more consistent approach to managing cardiology pathways and reduce the variation across health boards. The aim is to equalise waits and reduce overall waiting times.
