Our ‘A Period Proud Wales’ plan outlines how everyone should have access to period products, whenever they are needed. Our Period Dignity annual grant now totals over £3.2 million, and period products are in every school in Wales, with resources available for teachers to address period poverty.

The grant funding is paid to local authorities and includes period dignity products for community centres, schools, early years and childcare centres for parents and community hubs. There is not a breakdown of the expenditure on primary schools, with all schools captured under the single category of ‘schools’. Details of wastage is not quantified in the monitoring forms.
