Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary make a statement detailing support available to residents and businesses affected by flooding on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
The Welsh Government’s Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) provides financial support to individuals who face severe hardship after experiencing a disaster, such as a flood or fire, to help cover essential costs. For businesses, Business Wales offers post-flood recovery support to businesses affected by storms. Businesses should contact the Business Wales helpline at 03000 6 03000 for advice, information, or referrals to relevant agencies.
