Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm whether the Welsh Government will be providing Newport City Council with funding for the construction of a new bridge to replace the Old Bassaleg Bridge?

The Welsh Government awarded Newport City Council £1.2m in 2024-25 through our Resilient Roads Fund for work on a replacement to Bassaleg bridge. Applications for the Resilient Roads Fund in 2025-26 are currently being assessed.
