Is a digital referral process from primary care to secondary care ophthalmology settings now in place in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board?

A national IT project has been established to facilitate electronic referral between primary care optometry and hospital eye services.
Implementation of the national project, when fully completed, will mitigate the risks of non-electronic referrals being lost and aligns with the wider project to digitise primary care services and facilitate seamless eyecare pathways for all patients across healthcare services.
