Question
What action is the Welsh Government taking to stop the decline in sheep numbers?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
The Welsh Government is continuing to work in partnership with stakeholders to develop the Sustainable Farming Scheme to support the resilience of all agricultural sectors in Wales. The Scheme is for example expected to include multiple actions to improve farm business efficiency, and proactive animal health and welfare planning which will support the sheep sector.
