How many additional inspections occurred at coal tips following the periods of extreme weather experienced in November and December 2024?

Following the extreme weather events in November and December, the Mining Remediation Authority has led 76 inspections, theses are in addition to the regular scheduled winter inspections programme. This includes:
· Mining Remediation Authority sites - 26 inspections
· Natural Resources Wales Sites - 27 inspections
· Cwmtillery - 21 inspections since Storm Bert
· Monmouth - 1 inspection
· Merthyr - 1 inspection
