Question
Will the Welsh Government be aligning with the UK Government's approach to bluetongue disease restrictions from 1 July 2025, allowing livestock movement without pre-movement testing between the two nations?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
I held a Bluetongue roundtable meeting with senior representatives of the livestock and veterinary sectors on 5 June. I listened to their views and will consider them carefully before deciding on a proportionate policy for future Bluetongue control. I will announce my decision on 12 June.
