Question
How are the clinical and linguistic needs of mothers in the Betsi Cadwaladr area measured and met in the following: Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust, Anderson Ward (Lancashire Teaching Hospitals), Ribblemere (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust), Brockington (Midlands Partnership), a Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing
NHS commissioners are expected to work with providers so when services are delivered outside of Wales, wherever practicably possible, information will be provided in the individual’s language of choice. There is also an expectation that when a placement is commissioned, commissioners work with the provider to ensure continuity of care, and this will include supporting a person’s clinical and language needs.
Questions about the details should be directed to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
