Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary clarify the criteria used to allocate the £30 million social care services fund to each local authority, and the specific amount that has been allocated to Powys County Council from this fund?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Children and Social Care
The Pathways of Care Transformation Grant fund has been allocated to all 22 local authorities based on each area’s proportion of the total adult population for Wales.
Through this allocation formula, Powys County Council will receive £1,308,915 in 2025–26 to support timely assessments and care packages for patients who are clinically ready to leave hospital, reduce delays in discharge, and strengthen community services to help individuals remain well and supported at home.
