Question
What support is the Welsh Government providing seaside businesses that are impacted when beaches are placed under guidance not to bathe or paddle?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
Whilst there is no specific package of support for seaside businesses that are impacted when beaches are placed under guidance not to bathe or paddle, the Welsh Government provides support to coastal communities through a range of economic development, regeneration and tourism funding programmes. These programmes, such as Brilliant Basics and Transforming Towns, are aimed at sustaining local businesses, enhancing resilience and improving the visitor offer.
