Hwb is safeguarded by a multi-layered security framework that leverages the latest technologies to protect all users accessing the platform.

These safeguards monitor and protect against cyber threats, malicious emails and documents, and access is tightly controlled through robust authentication policies designed to prevent unauthorised entry. The Hwb platform also provides local authorities and schools with access to advanced endpoint protection to safeguard devices and helping to secure the wider digital learning environment.

Security monitoring is provided 24/7 by the national security operations centre, CymruSOC, which ensures that any suspicious activity is detected and addressed swiftly.

The services delivered through Hwb, along with the platform’s underlying infrastructure, are reviewed continuously and subject to annual independent security reviews. These reviews are conducted in accordance with industry best practices and evolving cybersecurity standards, maintaining a safe and trusted space for digital learning across Wales.
