Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
The Welsh Government recognises the vital role of pathology in delivering timely and accurate diagnoses, particularly in cancer and other complex conditions.
Health Education and Improvement Wales is working with health boards and the National Pathology Programme to maximise training capacity and expand pathology training posts.
Work continues to develop and strengthen the multi-professional pathology workforce, which is essential to delivering sustainable pathology services for the future.
